Family breaks to Legoland Windsor

FOLLOWING the launch of a new three-night Legoland Windsor package from the 14th century Bird In Hand Hotel near Maidenhead, it’s now possible to combine a family break in a comfortable, historic hotel, with a fun couple of days at one of the country’s leading theme parks.

Located less than 12 miles from Legoland, the 600 year-old country inn offers everything to keep mum and dad happy. The 2007 and 2008 CAMRA Berkshire Pub of the Year, it serves an ever-changing selection of Real Ales, as well as more than 50 wines in its traditional, atmospheric bar, complete with oak panelling and inglenook fireplace.

The spacious restaurant offers an extensive menu, featuring family favourites such as home-cooked Steak & Kidney Pudding, Fish & Chips and Bangers & Mash, and the accommodation, including family rooms, has been renovated to a very high standard, combining comfort with modern amenities including a flat-screen television, free wi-fi and welcome tray.

So, after the children have had their fun on the rides and attractions, taken in a show, and maybe even visited Pirates Landing, new for 2010 at Legoland Windsor, mum and dad will also be able to enjoy themselves, and savour the hospitality served up by a traditional country inn.

The new three-night Bird In Hand Legoland Windsor package starts from £295 for a family of two adults and one child under 16 sharing a room, and from £350 for a family of two adults and two children. Prices include bed and breakfast accommodation, a two-day pass to Legoland and VAT. For further information tel: 01628 826622 or visit www.birdinhand.co.uk.
